CALGARY, Jan. 10, 2012 /CNW/ - Emerald Bay Energy Inc. (TSX Venture: EBY) (the "Corporation" or "Emerald Bay") is pleased to provide an operational update on recent events.

Emerald Bay has recently drilled and cased a prospective oil well in Guadalupe County, Texas. The logs and geological data support our original optimism on this prospect, and the Company will now move forward with perforation and testing operations.
